Merry Christmas

This year was very busy and full of fun: a new baby boy, camping, dance recital, trip to Disneyland, family reunion!!!

Jason - Jason is employed with the LDS church and is working on the New Family Search website. After 4 years he just has to finish his thesis to complete his masters in Computer Science. Jason was released as Scoutmaster (5 years) and is now serving as the 2nd Counselor in the Stake Young Mens. He is enjoying his new calling, but he wish he had more hours in the day. His favorite thing he did this year was going to Disneyland for 10 days with his family and his Mother-in-law =).

Kristine - Kristine is busy with our four children and her numerous other hobbies and projects. She works on genealogy and likes to spray paint anything she can. She spends lots of time with her Mom finding great deals. In between everything else she still finds time to put on bridal and baby showers, help Jason stay on track with his thesis, keep the house clean and still look amazing!

Elisabeth – Elisabeth is 6 years old. She started 1st grade this year and loves to read. She was excited to lose her first tooth when Dad tied floss around it and then Mom yanked it out, sending it flying somewhere onto the kitchen floor, which took us 10 minutes to find. She loves to dance. She’s a big help with her new brother.

Rebekah – Rebekah is 5 years old and is super smart and an absolute delight to be around. She is our early riser and always the first one to wake up. She got a hearing in October and loves to wear it everywhere. She is looking forward to kindergarten this coming fall. She knows all of her letters and numbers and has already started to read easy books.

Jonathan - Jonathan is 3 years old. He is amazing at figuring out how everything works: buttons, switches, screw drivers, computer games, etc. He turns everything into a rocket ship or a truck, especially his roll at dinner.

Jacob - Jacob the newest addition to our family this year is 9 months old. Jacob Ethan was born March 27, weighing in at a whopping, 9 lbs 8 oz, and 21 inches. He is a is always smiling and enjoys all the attention from his brother and sisters.

We are so grateful for our loved ones and would love to hear from all of you. We hope this letter finds you healthy, happy, and enjoying the Christmas season. Merry Christmas! May you feel the peace and love of the Savior, and may this coming year bring much joy.

With Love,
Jason, Kristine, Elisabeth, Rebekah, Jonathan and Jacob

Birthdays and Snow

Over the last couple of weeks we celebrated Jonathan and Rebekah's birthdays. Jonathan turned 3 years old and Rebekah turned 5 years old. Jonathan helped make his own cake and is surprisly very good at breaking eggs. Jonathan got a Thomas the Train Set, some clothes, and a log building set from Grandma. He is super excited. For three days he watched the train go around the track and deliver mail.

For Rebekah's Birthday we had cupcakes and pizza. Everyone came over: Jeff, Kari, Alisha, and Gaw. Rebekah got some "magic" paper from Crayola, magic glue markers, and a bead set. She made a bracelet and a necklace, with my help, on the first days that she got it. Instead of a friend party we went to the Discovery Children's Museum as a family. Alisha came with us. Rebekah really wanted her to come. It was fun to spend the day together as a family.

Jacob is crawling lots now. We have to put a blockade at the bottom of the stairs so that he doesn't climb up the stairs. He is starting to pull himself up on things. Super cute.

It snowed last Saturday, so pretty. The kids went out an played in the snow 3 or 4 days last week. They have been playing with their friends Hannah and Spencer. Jonathan went out the first day, but hasn't been out again since then. Guess once was enough for him. I found Rebekah standing on top of the wood pile with a long piece of wood in her hand trying to knock down the iceccels from the roof line. She is full of fun ideas. There is a slight hill on the north side of the house that makes a great sleding hill.

We set up the Christmas tree and had a fun time. Jacob has already pulled some of the ornaments off.

For family night we made gingerbread houses. Alisha and mom came over to help to. I think the kids ate more candy than what was put on the houses. Jason figured out a way to made frosting and houses out of gingerbread for our family reunion with the Daniels. We are in charge of gingerbread houses. The reunion is over Christmas.

Elisabeth is enjoying reading and is finally getting used to her new glasses. She likes the five "diamonds" that are on the side of the glasses. Jonathan picked up the glasses on the second day that she had them and broke them. Luckily the waranty covered that. =)

Finally...

We started a blog, can you believe it. We've been talking about doing to forever. Jason and I have 4 super children, Elisabeth (6), Rebekah (5), Jonathan (3), and Jacob(8 months). This picture is at Ocean Beach in San Diego from our trip during Thanksgiving.

Disneyland Trip

Just got back from our trip to Southern California. We vacationed for 10 wonderful days. As part of our adventure we went to Universal Studios, Disneyland (3 days), Ocean Beach, San Diego Zoo, and Sea World. We had lots of fun. My mom came and was lots of help =). We stayed in a castle in Anaheim. Jonathan keep saying it was his castle. Rebekah's favorite ride was Splash Mountain and Soaring over California.
