January and February 2013

Elisabeth sang the national anthem at a UVU basketball game with the Eaglecrest Choir.

In January our wonderful Kaitlyn was born.  Kaitlyn is spelled so many different ways.  Jason wanted to spell it Katelyn and Kristine wanted to spell it Kaitlyn.  So we took the question to facebook and we ended up with Kaitlyn Nicole.  Jason's parents and my mom watched the kids while we were in the hospital.  The second and third picture is Kaitlyn at 6 weeks.

After she was born Jacob and Justin got a horrible stomach bug that lasted a week.  Luckily Kaitlyn didn't get it.  Kristine got an infection on top of it.  Jason did not have any fun dealing with all of it by himself.

Kayla and Jason went snowmobiling around the neighborhood.  January was a super cold month.  Jacob went on a ride too.

Elisabeth did a science project on jello and which fruit you can put in it.  Here is a picture of Jason working on the science project and holding Kaitlyn.  Jacob and Kayla also helped by eating the fruit.

Kaitlyn Nicole is Here!!!!

Kaitlyn Nicole was born on January 14, 2013, Monday at 11:25 a.m. and weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 20.5 inches long.

We were going to get induced on Monday morning, but on Sunday night Kristine thought that she was leaking amniotic fluid so we went to the hospital.  We arrived at the hospital with Kristine being dilated to 4 cm.  After an hour she was dilated to 6 cm and started shaking.  This was at 11pm on Sunday, so we thought the baby would be coming soon.  So we called her mom and sister and told them to come to the hospital.  Kristine was in LABOR.  This is first time she went into labor after seven pregnancies without being induced.  Kristine then got an epidural.  As soon as she had the epidural all contractions STOPPED.  Her mom and sister slept in defunct chairs in the waiting room all night.  After 5 hours of no contractions, the nurses started the pitocin @ 5 am ish.  After the pitocin was started the contractions came back.  A few hours later and after a few pushes Kaitlyn was born at 11:25 am on Monday. December 2012

Elisabeth had lot sof choir performances.  She recieved a trophy for being in choir for three years.  She is sad that this is her last choir performance at her elementary school.

Elisabeth and Kayla had a dance recital.  They both were super cute.

Rebekah and Elisabeth had a piano recital.  They did fantastic.  Rebekah played Wild Horseman and Jingle Bells.  Elisabeth played Minute in F and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.  Their teacher is Leslie Cluff.  They have fun with her.

Rebekah performed in the play AChristmas Carol.  She played a lawyer.

Everyone made their own gingerbread houses.

This year Jason cut down our pine tree in our front yard =(.  He said it was too big and breaking the sprinkler pipes.  Jeff and Jason had fun with the chainsaw.  I thinnk Jason just wanted and excuse to use the chainsaw.

Elisabeth watched her class pet over the Christmas Break.  She was so happy.  It was a minature hamster named Angel.

Christmas was fun.  The kids exchanged names.  Kayla and Elisabeth, Jacob and Rebekah, and Justin and Jonathan exchanged.  They were excited to watch each other open their presents.  The boys all got nerf guns from Santa and we all had a nerf gun fight.  The present is hiding Kristine's huge belly.  Less than a month until Kaitlyn comes.
