Notes to Remember:
Surgery was July 13th
Surgery was scheduled 3 days ahead
finished late
we were promised a room and didn't get one
had to spend the night in the car
The surgery was cutting open the site of the cyst, extracting the fluid (mucous) and then cutting a window into the cyst area and burning the inside of the cyst wall with a laser at 1/2 watt.
Came out of surgery intubated and paralyzed.
We asked about a room which we had been "promised" around 9:30pm and told there wasn't one.
Slept in the car, not really that comfortable
Family room was a life saver!
Night 2 - ???
Discharged the 15th, directly from the PICU
came home on Friday -- I believe
